Boys, Boys, Boys......and flowers :)! {Port Orchard, Washington, Children's Photographer}

I found the most amazing field of Daisy's last weekend, and just couldn't wait to shoot it, so me and my dearest friend packed up our boys and went for it.  It is truly the perfect location!  All that we were missing was some backlight sun (don't even get me started on that), and well, a little girl in a flowy dress would have been nice :)!  But just like my youngest in the tutu you work with what you got.....:)!  And I have to admit it doesn't get much cutter than this :)!

And of course I have to mention that evening ended with a trip to the ER.  Apparently my oldest is allergic to something fierce.  By the time we were packing up everything in the car the whites of his eyes were literally swelling out of his head.  It wasn't so pretty.  Maybe the flowers in his hair wasn't such a great idea :)! 

A Beautiful Blessing {Port Orchard, Washington, Newborn Photographer}

I truly believe that all babies are nothing short of miracles, and Miss Abby is one of God's greatest miracles to date :).  She was so sweet, tiny, and perfect in everyway.  It was such a blessing in my life to spend a few hours with her, and her amazing parents. 

Miss Abby was born with Down Syndrome, and where a lot of parents (probably me included), would feel a sense of anxiety, sadness or loss at the prospect of raising a child with special needs, the M family said they feel nothing but joy, and gratitude to God for blessing them with such a special gift. 

Miss Abby you truly are a gift from Heaven, and the love that surrounds you is endless.

This weeks challenge at I ♥ Faces is babies....It was so hard to pick my favorite all time baby picture, but I just kept coming back to this one.  I just love the light and her sweet expression :).

Fix it Friday {Washington Photographer}

I will admit I am about to completely loose my mind if the sun doesn't start shinning pretty dang soon!! It has felt like January ever since we got back from St. Martin. That is probably what I get for going some where warm in May. Blame me :)!

Due to the weather I haven't been able to shoot at all this week, and I am dying for some beautiful dusky sunlight, so when I was blog stalking today, and saw the picture for fix it Friday over at I Heart faces, I couldn't resist.

I also thought it would be a great chance to show a before and after image. I have never shown one before on the blog, and thought it might be fun.

Just so we are clear though, I DID NOT TAKE THIS PICTURE, I just has the pleasure of editing it :)!

The Sweetest Gift!! {Kirkland WA Photographer}

Sorry I have been so lacking in the blogging department lately.  I am still recovering and getting back into the swing of things.  I promise to be better :)!

Last weekend I had the pleasure of shooting Nick and Mimi in Kirkland.  Get this, for their Mom's birthday this year they decided to surprise her with a sibling photo session.  Isn't that just the sweetest gift ever?  I personally think so!!  I was thinking about it, and if my kids EVER were so thoughtful to do something so sweet for me on my birthday, well, I would just be beyond words grateful :)!

So, with that said, I hope your Mama loves them Nick and Mimi, and I truly think you are two of the sweetest kids I have ever met :)!

I ♥ Faces - Yellow {Washington Senior Photographer}

What's up? Long time no see :)! Literally, it has been weeks since I have been able to see well enough to check my email, let alone take pictures.

I want to thank everyone who checked in on me these past few weeks to see how I was doing. Your well wishes truly made me feel special :)!

I am excited to report that I am seeing a little bit more clearly each day, and am excited to finally start seeing some results. There were several days that I was starting to think I may have made a HUGE mistake :)!

I also just got back from a kid free week long get away with my husband to Saint Martin in the Caribbean. It was a FUN FUN week, and I am disappointed that I only took maybe 10 pictures tops, but I promise to post a few in the next few days.

I hope you are all well, and I look forward to catching up with all that I have missed!!

May Madness {Port Orchard, WA Wedding Photographer}

May is officially madness!  Self induced madness, but madness non the less :)!

Many of you know that I have been going back and forth about getting my eyes fixed for a while now, and well, tomorrow is the big day.  And I have to admit I am freaking out a bit.....I am having thoughts like,  "Will I be the one person that walks away totally blind from this procedure?!"  "Will I SEE my kids again?"  "Will I ever be able to shoot again, or edit?"  You know, stuff like that :)!

So wish me luck, and I hope to be back sooner than later, but If I don't post for a while, then  you can bet I am still laying on my couch rubbing my eyes, waiting for the fog to clear :)!

I had planned on posting a bunch more pictures from the wedding, but I simply ran out of time, so my very very favorite from the entire day will have to do!
