A Look Back at 2009!! {Port Orchard Washington Children's Photographer}

I don't know about the rest of you, but where has the year gone?!? It seems like it just flew by. It is sort of scary if I really think about it too much. I have been working on my kids photo albums these past few weeks, and I am shocked by how much they have changed in the past 365 days! Last night while tucking Braydon into bed he asked me how long before he would be a teenager :)!! I am hoping that those seven years go by a lot slower than the past six.

I love and hate this time of year....Christmas is over (waaa), New Years is approaching, and it is a time of reflection, and resolutions. I am embarrassed by the LONG list of things I personally need to work on, yet excited and hopeful that this will the year that I just might scratch a few of them off my list. I try and choose three resolutions to whole heartedly focus on.

1. Personal/Spiritual

2. Family Focused

3. Global

Kay so here they are! Maybe putting them on here will help me be a little more accountable in 2010.

1. There are SO many things personally I need to work on but this year my resolution to myself is to keep a gratitude journal in which I write down 5 things everyday that I am grateful for. I have done this before, and stopped, but I LOVE how it made me focus on the little miracles that happen to me each day, and that is where I want my focus to be this year.

2. See again, there is SO much to be improved upon as a wife and mother, but this year my goal is to spend one on one alone time with each of my boys once a month. Now I know this may not seem like such a BIG goal, but honestly I hardly ever get to be alone with the three men in my life. I am really looking forward to this one :)!

3. I tried and half way failed this resolution LAST year, and so I am going to try another go at it. My global goal this year is to ONLY use my recycled bags when I go shopping. I am successful with this about half of the time, and I know I can do better.

So there you have it. Wish me luck in 2010 :)!!

The Hunt for the Perfect Tree! {Washington Family Photographer}

We are SO excited for Christmas to get here!!  I am trying to use my down time wisely and catch up on all of the personal pictures that I have been neglecting these past six months.  I don't want my kids to look back on their albums, and say "Mom, I thought you were a photographer?  How come there are NO pictures of us". :)!!

So here are a few from our hunt for the perfect Chirstmas tree!

All Caught UP....and SO Grateful :)!!! {Washington Family Portrait Photographer}

I am officially all caught up with session's and order's for the year of 2009!! I am looking forward to a few weeks off to just enjoy the Holidays with my little family :). This year has been amazing, and I am SO incredibly grateful to all of my clients for choosing me to capture a few moments in your busy families lives. I realize there are SO many options out there when it comes to choosing a photographer, and the fact that you chose me is very humbling, and I can't thank you enough! I look forward to 2010 and all the exciting moments and memories that the new year will bring.

I am working on several new things for 2010 so be sure and check back often!!

Meanwhile I had to share this beautiful family with you. They are good friends of mine as well as my dear neighbors. I couldn't function without the support and love these five give to me each and everyday! And didn’t she do a great job on styling? Fantastic!!
