I ♥ Hilarious Outtakes {Washington Portrait Photographer}

I had SO much fun with my hands post last week.....which by the way I was shocked to have my photo picked as one of Angie and Amy's favorites :)!! There were over 900 incredible photos entered, so really to say I was shocked is truly an understatement. If you would like to check out the top 10 winners, and several other of Angie and Amy's picks, head over to iheartfaces, and see some incredible photography!

So this week is Hilarious Outtakes....and I have to say this was SO much fun going through old sessions, and looking for the funny pictures that I normally wouldn't use. Some of them you have seen before, because you know I love posting silly outtakes :)!!

Still one of my favs :)!

She cracks me up in this one :)!!

And if looks could kill :)!!  Still even with the death glare she is ADORABLE :)!

And this one will probably cause permanent damage to both of my children, but I couldn't help it :)!

Belly Art {Port Orchard, WA Maternity Photographer}

I had the awesome opportunity of collaborating with a friend of mine who ooozes talent in everything that she does. Heidi is the owner and talent behind Whimsy Face Painting. You may have seen her work painted on the faces of kids at many of the various local fairs last summer. She also does birthday parties, and well now belly art :)! And a round of applause for our beautiful model Rebecca, who is expecting in just a few short weeks. She was a natural in front of the camera, and a joy to work with! Thanks ladies for a super fun day.

I will be posting a few more of my session with Rebecca in the next few day so be sure and stop on by :)!!

Weather Smeather!! {Kirkland, WA Family Photographer}

What can I say, this time of year is TOUGH for an on location photographer!!  Due to tight schedules and rainy days it took three attempts to finally photograph this beautiful family, but I must say it was worth the wait.  It was great to finally meet this family...Miss Mia is my little brothers "sweet heart", and it was very apparent where she got her good looks from.  I must also admit, that even though I am SO over the rain come February, I do love the dramatic skies that the clouds provide.  So for those of you in warmer climates, here is a taste of a Seattle winter :)!

Thanks again "S" family, it was a pleasure finally meeting you!!

Mia is going to kill me for posting this, but I couldn't help it!  I just think she is stunning!!   My brother is no dummy :)!

Thanks again "S" family, you look great, and I hope you love these for a years to come!!

STUNNING & INCREDIBLE!! {Bremerton, WA Engaged Couples Photographer}

Phewy, it has been almost two weeks since my last post. I have been busy! Not so much with photography, but with life. The weather has prevented me from shooting several weeks in a row, which has been extremely frustrating.

Kay so I have a lot of exciting things to share. I don't know if you remember, but in August I went to a photography workshop put on by Michael Andrew who is an amazing wedding photographer. He has also been an incredible mentor to me through his instructional DVD's. Anyways, he called me about three weeks ago and said he was going to Haiti, and couldn't spend another day in the states when he knew he could be down there helping. He jumped on a plane the next day, and his been down there ever since. The work he has been doing is incredible. The biggest thing that he has been doing is visiting orphanages around Port Au Prince, and assessing their needs. We have been finding their locations via the internet and giving him their GPS coordinates, so he knows exactly how to find. Long story short about 85% of the orphanages that he has visited have had ZERO contact from ANY aid agencies. This means they have not received food, water, clothing, or medical supplies from anyone. He has teamed up with the 82 Airborne, and the Salvation Army and they have agreed (after weeks of asking) to supply all of the orphanages Michael has visited with the aid they need. So incredible.

The one thing that the 82nd and the Salvation Army have asked our help with is donations to go towards water purifiers. Michael has found a factory in Port Au Prince that makes these water purifiers. Get this, they are only $30, and can supply a family with clean drinking water for 5 YEARS!!

So, I have decided that for each session I shoot in 2010, I am going to donate one water purifier on behalf of each of my clients!! I am so excited about this!!

If you would like to follow along with what Michael is doing in Haiti just follow this LINK. They found a man yesterday that has been trapped under rubble for FOUR weeks, and he was ALIVE. Michael's image of this man has been all over CNN and the national news for the past two days. Also, if you are interested in donating a water purifier here is the LINK for that as well!

Kay, so back to photography!  This past weekend I attended an awesome workshop put on by Amanda K Photography, with guest speaker Brandon Perron.  It was awesome!  I learned a ton, and had the opportunity of meeting several incredible local photographers.  The highlight for me was the two hour shoot with some STUNNING models!!  Oh my goodness, can you say drop dead gorgeous!!  This was beyond fun!!  Here are just a few of my favorites (it was SO hard to pick which ones to edit)!!
