Tiffany Burke Workshop :)!!! {Port Orchard WA Senior Photographer}

As promised, I am back to share my families SNEAK PEEK from our session with Tiffany Burke. It was so amazing to watch her work. She is such a talent, and to finally have these priceless pieces of art of my family is truly a dream come true. The day was beautiful but a bit windy and cold. The boys did good until the last twenty minutes, after which it was tears, and "I am cold!".  The funniest part is that these pictures featured in our sneak peek were from the last ten minutes :)! So I can only imagine what the rest of our session will look like. I said this to Tiffany, but if these four pictures were all that she got I would be beyond thrilled, but I know that she got many more :)!

So our family session was on Tuesday and Wednesday was my one on one mentor session with Tiffany. It was so amazing to be able to have her all to myself :)! It is incredible how she see's light and watch her magic in Photoshop. She is a true artist.

Later that evening we had the pleasure of shooting two GORGEOUS models. I could go on and on about these two but you can see for yourself. I have MANY more to post so keep checking back in!!

There was NO flash used in these last two shots, only a reflector!

Dramatic Black and White {Port Orchard, WA Senior Photographer}

We are back!!!  I have SOO much to tell and share about our trip to Utah....but it will have to wait!  I am beyond exhausted and am starting to go cross eyed :)!  But I promise to be back soon and share my families sneak peek from our session with Tiffany Burke (INCREDIBLE!!!).

I have said this before but Tiffany is literally one of my ALL time favorite photographers.  She is a master of light, and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to spend and entire day with her for a one on one mentoring session.  I can't even begin to tell you what an amazing experience this was for me.  My head is still spinning!

We shot two BEAUTIFUL models in the most gorgeous light for over two hours and I have tons to share!  But one will have to do for tonight.

I normally wouldn't dream of posting this shot in Black and White (as I LOVE color), but since this weeks challenge at I Heart Faces is dramatic black and whites, I chose this one :)!

Be back soon!

i ♥ Faces - Angles {Wedding Engagement Photographer - Port Orchard, WA}

This weeks photo challenge at I Heart Faces is focusing on angles.  Can any of you guess what my all time favorite photo angle is?......Anyone?   I love shooting from above looking down on my subjects.   I just love the catch lights, and how flattering it is on all body types.  I simply love the look!  However the photo I chose is a unique angle for me, and I have to say it is one of my all time favorites!!    It is amazing how just shooting a bit lower or a bit higher than your subjects can have such a dramatic effect on the image.  So no matter what you shoot with, get out there and try some different angles.

It's MY Turn :)! {Washington Family Photographer}

If you had asked me two years ago if I would ever pay $150 for a session fee to have my families pictures taken, I would have laugh at you.  Two years ago I hadn't even heard of custom photography.  I just thought if you wanted your family pictures taken you packed everyone up and went to Sears, and got maybe one good picture, and that was enough.  Well, knowing what I know now about the knowledge and expertise that goes into custom photography, as well as the quality of work, and the genuine moments and memories that it gives you.  I know now that it IS truly priceless.  It isn't just a photograph, but art that I will cherish for a lifetime.

I can't tell you how many times I have sat down to edit a family session, and found myself completely emotional as I see these moments of connection between a mother and her child.  And the whole time I am thinking to myself that nothing brings me more joy than to provide families with these memories that they can always look back on.  Yet I don't have ANY between me and my boys, or me and my husband, because I am always behind the camera.

So now it is MY turn :)!!

We are headed to Salt Lake City tomorrow to visit family, but also to have our family session done by one of  my ALL time favorite photographers Tiffany Burke.

I can not express to you in words, how excited I am to finally have a few incredible moments captured of me with my family.  It is worth every penny!!

The outfits are picked out, the bags are almost packed, and we just can't get there fast enough :)!!

So I thought it only appropriate to post our lastest family photo (taken almost two years ago, by my good friend Jamie Vanden Bos).

I will see you all when we get back :)!

So Stinkin Beautiful!!!! {Port Orchard, Washington Maternity Photographer}

So I have been drooling over these images for a over a week now, trying to pick my favorites..........which I must say was no easy task!!   For those of you who havn't had the pleasure of meeting Marie, I have to tell you she is just as beautiful and sweet on the inside as she is on the out.  And if you think her talent stops at gorgeous greenish-brown eyes, and the nicest personality you would be soo wrong.  She is in an awesome photographer, and writer, so if you havn't you must check out her blog....Mag Gab!

Kay people she is NINE MONTHS pregnant!!  I think her tiny belly bump is smaller than my hinney right now :)! lol.  This is baby number three, and if you rush over to her blog today you will see her other two beautiful children :)!

Thanks again Marie, it was SO much fun getting a chance to visit, and capture some belly moments before your little girl arrives.  I just adore you :)!

i ♥ Faces - Bundled Up {Children's Photography - Port Orchard, WA}

Last week there were some incredible entries over at I heart faces.  I am continually inspired by the talent on that site.  It is like eye candy :)!  This weeks challenge is all bundled up, and since we didn't get any snow this year, I had to pull something from last year.  I actually have this shot of  my five year old framed in my living room I love it so much :)!  I just like how his goofy hat matches his goofy smile :)!

I am almost finished editng my latest maternity session, and I can't wait for this post.  You will have to check back in because I promise you these are some of my all time favorites!!

Sweet Perfection!! {Newborn Photographer - Olalla, WA}

She is finally here!!  I can't tell you how much I have been looking forward to meeting this little angel.  She was soo worth the wait, and perfect in every way.  It was so neat to see how relaxed and laid back Mom and Dad were as we worked to get the perfect shots.  I love working with this family, and am so thankful to have been apart of capturing Miss Adella and all her sweetness :)!!

i ♥ Faces - Jumping for Joy {Port Orchard WA, Children's Photographer}

Has another week already flown by?  I am still trying to wrap my mind around the fact that it is March!  This past week was so fun.  I had the pleasure of shooting a sweet little one on Thursday, which I can't wait to post my favorites very shortly.  I also had the chance to shoot a BEAUTIFUL maternity session on Saturday.  I am sure many of you will recognize her when I post those as well!  And to top my week off, I got a second place pick from I Heart Faces for last weeks entry.  Although, I can hardly take any credit for it as my boys did all the hard work for that win :)!  You really should go check out the other winners as well, they are sure to bring a smile to your face.....:)!

This weeks challenge is Jumping for Joy!!  I knew immediately what my entry was going to be.....:)!!
